The club have been informed that Len Cocozza will be attending the match against Ellon this weekend. Len was a 1st XV player for a long time and for many years also the owner of the Club "HOWF" which was The Red Moss Roadhouse, where we held the Austin memorials and stags.

He started off as a very fast and big winger in the first Lanarkshire Sevens Plate Final we were winning - until our flying winger took cramp. He was a fixture in the 1st XV second row and a superb sevens player propping with Kenny Stewart. The Club won several sevens tournaments including The Lanarkshire Sevens.

Was asked by Scottie Duguid to copy over this reply.

"Apologies from me as I am off to Majorca on Saturday. Gutted to miss the big man as he was a star especially when a big dirty B from Ayr (Les McCall I belice he was called) was about to emascalate me with his studs when big Lenny just decked the offending player!! McCall stayed decked for a minute or two!!"

"A good guy to have on your side when the going got rough!! (ps I was completely innocent!!)".

"I also recall in a Lanarkshire cup match when Big Lenny bamboozled every ne by picking up the ball with his kness (in the scrum) and keeping it there as we drove the Hamilton diddy team back 25 yards over their own line, whereupon Lenny touched down for a score".

"Please pass my kind regards to Lenny, John and their famalies".

"The hospitality and kindness shown by the Cocozza family in the Party Days at the Red Moss still sticks in my mind as i@m sure it has done ith Tally, Wee Tam, Old Harry Morton junior, Big O, David Ballie, Nin, Bins and a few others from that era. After ra bevvy we all enjoyed a room for the night and an excellent breakfast in the morning, happy days!!".

"Make sure you introduce the Duguid boys to Lenny and see if he can guess where their skills and speed come from??".
