Dalziel got the victory they needed but missed out on the all important bonus point. Dalziel played East Kilbride three weeks ago at home and won by fourteen points to nil and after last weeks demolition job of RHC scoring eight tries it was hoped that Dalziel would continue in their recent try scoring form.

However a very young EK team playing for each other and with some degree of skill had Dalziel on the backfoot for most of the first half. In the first quarter the home side threw everything they had at Dalziel. Their handling was very good and the lines they were running caused Dalziel all sorts of problems. To their credit Dalziel defended very well and they had to otherwise the result would have been very different.
