U.K.C.C. Level 1

Post by Neil » Wed Nov 12, 2008 8:28 pm

Gents,
Further to the Midi Meeting this week, it was suggested that we try to run a Level 1 Course at Dalziel.
Obviously the more people attending , the more likely we are to get one. Rod Harris has suggested that Sports Match money may be available to cover the costs.
I intend to contact Ally McCall to kick start this. Anyone interested, therefore, please send me your details A.S.A.P.
Cheers
Neil.

A cautionary note..... I just want to say that at the moment there is no Sportsmatch fund in place for this year. However if we do get any we would surely look into the possibility of funding this course and potentially other types of courses eg. first aid etc. I guess at the moment the club would have to take a view as to what and how many could be covered, if anything at all, at the moment. There is a committee meeting on Monday where Neil I'm sure will table a request for the club to consider. Neil will need numbers and names.
Personally I think as many people as possible should register their interest as that can only be good for the club going forward with new coaching blood coming through. As well as matching up to possible legal requirements.

Neil, as you are aware, I am also keen to get some sort of first aid qualification under my belt as are several others dealing with the S1's so perhaps you could also raise that at the next committee meeting

First Aid

The Club is looking at accredited first aid courses with St. Andrews ambulance. As soon as we have dates for these, we will post them on the web site and circulate them to all teams.
