At the beginning of October the goal had been set to win all five games during the month. Job done.
The final game of the month, at Dalziel Park, pitched top against bottom in National League 1. Annan defied their lowly position and competed valiantly for the whole match.
From kick off, the league leaders dominated territory and possession, but could not break down a spirited Annan defence, and at times seemed to be forcing the game instead of taking their kicks at goal when awarded penalties.
