yeh, that's the kinda performance we like to see.

good show from the scots too. 1st scrum Murray and Ross were in the opposition popped up and conceded a penalty.

Hines had a few big hits and some quality carries too.

Lions in South Africa is the best, much better than getting up in the middle of the night to watch them in NZ or Oz!

what a chance for Ross Ford. If he can make ground and then offload he can get into the test side. The welsh hooker had a shocker last week and although Mears looks the part going forward his defence is dodgy. Ford's size gives him the advantage if he has a good game. Could still end up with Murray, Hines and Ford in the starting 1st test side. Blair has no chance as phillips was excellent midweek.

Eddy, I never thought I would say this but either it is something of a fluke or you might actually know something about rugby. Maybe we should take a poll !

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/8100533.stm team for tuesday announced.

all 4 scots starting, does this mean they won't get a chance on saturday?

i think that Hines is most likely on the bench, but I can't see the other 3 getting a place in the squad now.

Think you are right mate. Can't see anyone making it now from the home land. Hines and possibly at a push Murray are the only ones that could be debated, but you can see that they are going for mobility up front. Can't really complain as Scotland have been poor and haven't been winning. Reflects on the squad

if Ford could throw in the ball he'd be in with a shot, his loose play's been good. But he's missed his jumpers or thrown squint so you cannae really make an argument for him.

AWJ can think himself lucky if he gets in the team in front of Hines. POC is still questionable as he's not had a good game yet. But he's the captain so they'll start him.

I was thinking ahead of the selection for Tuesday's game that Vickery and Murray were very close. There's still a chance that Murray will get in ahead of him. But that's a lot of rugby in a week if Murray plays tuesday then saturday in the test as well.

Yep I think it may be "Scotless" Lions on Saturday.

Ironically if they do play well they will get substituted early (to save them for Saturday) - although I can't see Hines playing 80 minutes in the back row!

I think POC has been brilliant. Lineout has been solid and his ball carrying has been an asset. Not gonna break the line and get away like Andy Powell but gets over the gain line.

80 minutes it was mate for Hines. Think they are playing a bit like individuals. Saturday will be interesting.

Yep he made the full game - haven't watched it all yet so don't know if that is a good or bad thing?

First Test Team should be announced at some point today.
