Team selection 1st XV Dazzlerish

Post by RodHar » Mon Nov 24, 2008 11:27 pm

Having played for the Dazzlers I was able to select some quality players as well as some lads I've been fortunate to play along side during the silly 7's/10's. It also gave me a great opportunity to select the 'Harris' clan.

1. Ian Lilly
2. Sumo
3. Big Keith
4. Jono Philips
5. Gordy Muir (had to get him in)
6. Scott ’the Shark’ Harris
7. Rod ‘Bomber’ Harris
8. Craig ‘Simmo’ Simmonds
9. Shanky ‘Hard as nails'
10. Dougal Stewart
11. Cammy ‘Hit man’ Harris
12. John ‘Hammer’ Harris
13. Maffie
14. Slowie ‘Snake hips’
15. Wee Tally
16 Matt Brown
17 Willie Aitken
18 Big Al McGlashan
19 Ian Mill
20 Jason
21 Khalid
22 Cookie

Coaches: Innes Robb for his team motivation talks and Willie Mclelland to steady the ship afterwards!

Eddie DW's categories & Maf you asked for it!

Post by RodHar » Tue Nov 25, 2008 3:33 pm

On the basis of the people I’ve played in the same team as:

Best Player – Maf silky skills yet hard as…
Best Captain –undecided
Funniest Moment – Paul Warnock having taken over as ref for the second half of the recent 3rds game against Helensburgh takes the previous ref (now playing for Helensburgh) aside for a severe talking to….near yellow carded him ……priceless!!! Having said that it was just as well it was the second half and not the first! Bit of a tame example I know but then I’ve not toured.
Best Try Scorer –The Dazzler Pack
Best Kicker - Dougal
Best Side-Step – Beef the Samoan
Best Dummy – Big Al McGlashan
Best Guy to Back You In a Fight – All the Dazzlers… hard core to a man…but Cammy does take the biscuit
Person Most Likely to Give Away a Penalty – Can’t disagree with selection of Edwardo
Best Song – Billy Samuels: Sloop John B

Maf please find an e-mail re your proposal sent today.

or in a game against Cartha about 3 seasons ago, Leroy came on at half time, was penalised, and swore at Paul. Paul yellow carded him, to which Leroy responded, "Just f****** send me off then", so Paul produced a red card. All within 2 minutes of the 2nd half starting! As a result Leroy got man of the match!
