Select Your All Time Best XV

Post by spike » Sun Nov 16, 2008 9:09 pm

Jason Campbell came up with a good idea for a bit of fun. You have to choose your best XV from two categories,

1) Best team you ever played with. In this team you select yourself in your favourite position and then select the other 14 players who, in your opinion were the best you ever played with. You have to have played in the same team as them at some point in your career.

2) Best team to go on tour with. Same as above, pick yourself but this time you can choose anyone from any era that you would want to tour with. The emphasis is more on the "social" side of touring.

Post your teams to this thread. Just for fun.

:D  :? :P

Post by Boabyboy » Mon Nov 17, 2008 11:33 pm

Well? Who do I start? The following names I can think are:

First 15 - The Players.

Openside Prop - Robin.
Hooker - Robin.
Blindside Prop - Robin.
Inside Lock - Robin.
Outside Lock - Robin.
Openside Flanker - Robin.
Blindside Flanker - Robin.
Number 8 - Robin.
Scrum Half - Robin.
Fly Half - Robin.
Left Wing - Robin.
Inside Center - Robin.
Outside Center - Robin.
Right Wing - Robin.
Full Back - Robin.

The match officials.

Referee - Robin.
Touch Referee - Robin.
Ballboy - Robin.
Waterboy - Robin.
Medic - Robin.

In fact, I am so multi skilled playing rugby at this club, I even can play for the following teams, S1, S2, U15, U16, U18, 3rds, and lastly the 2nds. I even been considered for (which I am not taken this lightly) for the Grand Boaby Dazzler.

Aint I am special..

should do a Dazzlers XV where you are only allowed to select 2 backs and the rest of the team is to be made up of forwards :D

Had to reply to this one as I have played with a load of great players at this club, it was not easy to select just one team but here it is.

1. Tank
2. Jimmy Wylie
3. Al. Cowan
4. Big Pie
5. Shug
6. Robin Turner
7. Angus
8. Eadie (me)

11. Westy
12. Graham Kelt
13. Davy Wylie
14. C. Harris
15. Lee Charley

Not everyone might recognise all these names but they were all great players, mostly from times gone by.
