OK give us your predictions for the 6Ns.

And let us know why you're thinking the way you are.

Mines are:

France
Ireland
Scotland
England
Wales
Italy

FRANCE will win because of the way the fixtures fall and the strength and exp of their squad. They have 3 home games, facing the 2 toughest sides England and Ireland, in Paris. They have great half backs who can control games and release the outside backs in Elissalde, Parra and Trinh Duc. Some top backs outside them in the shape of Bastareaud, Clerc and Rougerie. The pack is very strong esp in the back row where Harinordoquy is coming into his best vintage.

IRELAND: When Munster rugby is strong Irish rugby is strong. O'Connell and O'Driscoll both had great Lions tours and will push the team on from last year. They'll not win the championship because France will edge it in Paris, but they'll be very close.

SCOTLAND will do well, but success will depend on winning at least one of the 2 difficult home games. Off the back of a win against France they could win in Cardiff and confidence can breed 6Ns success. Glasgow and Edinburgh have found ways to win in the Magners and win ugly, we can build on a very good Autumn series.

ENGLAND will beat the Welsh at Twickers and lose to Scotland at Murrayfield. The Irish should go to twickenham and win. They'll win again against the Italians, but prob lose to the French in Paris. 2 wins = 4th place.

WALES have no Scrum half, and they only have one easy home game in the Italians. It's gonna be a struggle for them after a dismal Autumn and I think they'll lose all but 1 game.

ITALY have not got enough behind the pack to challenge the rest so they'll get the wooden spoon. They need at least 3 or 4 players of Parisse's quallity before they'll be able to win many games against the top sides.

OTHER PREDICTIONS:
No Grand Slam - it'll come down to who out of France and Ireland have the best points difference.
