i agree parks isnt that excitng to watch, however glasgow are sitting top of the magners league and competing in with top european clubs. parks plays well in a glasgow shirt and controls games well! mibi its glasgows game plan to keep it tight and not parks.. there proving it works just now. hes the leading magners league points scorer and a money club like the blues are looking for a good controling 10.. and they pick parks! mibi theres just no one else for them to pick. mibi him going would be good for others to get a chance... it could also leave them struggling

Think he is a Kiwi and qualifies in 2012 on residency grounds?

so really, is it a good idea to pick him ahead of an already qualified player? Doesn't really help the problem we have with 10.

I wasn't saying to pick him only giving some info on his situation.

I do think we cannot be too perochial as we have had players over the years who were not exactly born and bred in Scotland - Lineen, Poutney etc - although Dave Hilton did take it too far!

no luck for all you Parks bashers...I`m sure as committed Glasgow supporters you were at the game to see a world class kicker score his 1000 point in the Magners League , no it wasn`t Paterson...
I`ll take a stand off who plays in the right areas and scores 20 points a game with the boot , it`s then up to the rest of the team to manufacture scores through their individual brillance or team play...one man cannot do it all.
time for some of you to go out and practise your kicking

I agree entirely with Jimmy cant believe Parks takes so much stick. Parks is the best wee have by a country mile. You are all blaming it on Parks for Glasgow's lack of tries but its got more to do with the state of Scottish Rugby. In the 2 real autumn tests we never even looked like scoring a try.

Oh i and ure rite Rabs does need to work on his kicking. I was sitting on 100% before I left. :P

Yes of course I want to see Glasgow win and a 6-3 win can be just as exciting as a try-fest, but they need an approach which changes when a game IS WON. When they're 12 points up in a game more risks can be taken. In the match at Murrayfield they were dominant and scored 2 tries, but never pushed hard enough to make more try scoring opportunities; instead they kicked penalty goals!!

Bonus points will be what makes the difference between the teams in the play offs and those missing out by a whisker. When it comes to the crunch those bonus points that weren't secured will count for a lot and I just hope that Glasgow don't rue their missed opportunities.

My objection is not that the games aren't pretty. I'm not concerned with pretty. But if you trully want Glasgow to be a success they need to put teams to the sword and get the try bonus that cements their position.
