Barbarians v English Premiership

So Mark Regan will lead out the Barbarians despite being told by his club that he can't.
(Bristol Chief Executive David) White told BBC Sport: "If he does play he'll be breaking his contract and will have to face the consequences.

"Premier Rugby have made their decision and we are supporting that.

"We have not released him, he can't play and we have the jurisdiction to fine him."
Not entirely fair on a player nearing the end of his career, but then I suppose he is contracted to Bristol so it's their shout as to what they do with him. Sounds a bit similar to Richie Foran playing GAA Football while contracted to Motherwell a few years back.

What does everyone else think?

I think he sees it as another thing to tell the Grandchildren, I don't think a club fine will hit him too hard - probably has a book deal lined up as well!!

His daughters are mascots as well.

aye good on him!

i think it gets a bit silly down south with the clubs wanting total control over players. it was a big deal to him that he was asked to play and to get out there and thrash the springboks was great for rugby.
