What's even worse one of them is Dan Pukes, and we still have Wa*#er on the wing and 'chip and chase without looking' (oops miss, opposition pressure) Southwell IN the team!!
Where is Ben Cairns??

From the SRU web site:
DE LUCA TO MISS CALCUTTA CUP BUT MURRAY CALLED UP
Posted: 03/Mar/08
Two other players were unable to train today - lock forwards Nathan Hines (knee) and Scott MacLeod (shoulder), albeit MacLeod did take part in the warm-up.

So once again we take to the field with players that are probably not 100% fit. If we had no alternatives I could understand this action, but we do have alternatives (Murray, White, Hamilton) so why are we setting ourselves up??

The Big mistake is southwell in the team in my opinion.
Glad to see Lawson on bench as he has been superb this season, but again the back row looks to be going back to Old heads with Taylor there.
Forwards will do ok, backs will struggle again as nothing coming at pace from full back.

That's a really brave/fool-hardy (delete dependent on saturday's result) selection I think! Leaving big Jason out for Strokosch is a big call as is bringing back Taylor straight in at No8.

Is Henderson injured or is Morrison just in on form???

I think we might be better with Rory @ FB rather than Southwell. But then he'd need to play someone with pace on the wing like Evans!

I think the games against England are different from any other game in the 6 nations for us, form goes out the window, and we try harder. Not very professional, but appears to be true. Team selection is brave, not, injury has dictated it, but think Taylor is only there because of his pre injury form 3/4 years ago, or whenever it was, could still do a job. Did anyone see Gordon Ross playing at the weekend, he looks better than Dan Parks, what did he do wrong?

On a seperate note, under 20's game at Falkirk, Strain and Simmons should feature.. Think it starts at 7.30, £10 for adults.

My preference for 10 has always been Gordon Ross, seemed to be that moving to France hampered his career unlike other french based Scots.

The question i want answered is why are these games being played at Football grounds?! Surely it would make more sense to play them at SRU member club ground and keep the money in the sport!

Offft Cipriani has been tossed out the team against Scotland with Balshaw reinstated and Charlie Hodgson coming onto the bench. Apparently he has been given the heave hoo for 'inappropriate behaviour'. Rumours have he was seen stumbling out of a London nightclub last night. What a tit!!! A legend all the same.

Yes Mathie but you will know ureself that the game of rugby has developed since your time when donkies such as Glen could get a game for the 1sts.

Now the game has changed physically and when you have players such as myself sporting such dominant physic's it is imperative for performance reasons not to overindulge in shamful acts of binge drinking and socialising within the wrong crowds.

Nowadays rugby is all about white boots, geled hair and style things you would know nothing about Mathie.

I think we should do this to young Mr Hill - he is as much of a pain as Austin Healey after all;

cmon Andy - respect for your elders and all that jazz! How have you managed to have different "physic's" (nice use of the apostrophe) to anyone else? Surely all of Newton's laws impinge universally upon the members of Dalziel RFC?!?!
