Good news, i'd say simmo will give them go forward and a bit of aggression that was sorely missed in the poor performance against france. They had no big ball carriers, and thats something simmo does well. deserves his chance as i thot the 8 who started against france was ding.

Good quote from their U20s coach;

"Robertson has reshuffled the back row ahead of the trip to Newport with Craig Simmonds replacing Jonny Baird, who is ruled out with blurred vision, at the base of the scrum.

And the head coach highlighted the No 8's physical presence as the chief attribute he will bring to the pack on Friday.

He added: "He is a big lad and his size will add something to our pack. He is with Heriot's and he has been in and out of their first XV.

"We have monitored his progress and he has been at a number of sessions already."

I wouldn't be so sure (dodgy knee you see...)

Anyway, Fraser does seem to know whenever there is rugby on the tele and invariably any rugby that is on will be recorded (European weekend anyone when there will be 7 or 8 games recorded to watch!). I'm surprised he hasn't learnt welsh yet with the amount of time he spends watching Celtic League on S4C!

Don't abuse that mate, if theres rugby on im the same. I will watch any game. Main reason is that the rest of the telly is total crap mate.

the only rugby i get on telly is the 6ns and invariably we end up with fixtures throughout the tourney meaning you don't get to see very much of it at all   . there's also a bit of the anglo welsh cup on the beeb, but i'm not that interested in that, though i'll watch it if i mind  .

Webster is now injured, so Paterson moves to the wing, and Southwell moves to full back. Danielli is now on the bench.

Southwell is the logical addition to the team, but Danielli is hopeless. I would rather have anyone but him there!

What time is kick off for the Under 20s game?

I'll text the bird and get her to record it if I'm at work.

Sky Plus is the saviour of TV.

EDIT: Checked the BBC site, 10 past 7 the night. Nice.

I would have brought anyone up apart from southwell. No attacking threat. Keep Paterson at Full back. Bring Evans in!

We really need to find a really good stand-off and quickly.
Add to that list a few centres and a few pops. Not bad at hooker though and we have 3 awsome scrum halves.

we have too many numbers in some positions like back row, second row scrum half and possibly centres but we dont have gd props, full back or deadly wingers n stand off has always been a problem

IMO,

we need a loosehead,

a hooker (ford is big but his skills are gash, face it),

1 second row (hines is class, but if hamilton wasnt huge he prob wouldnt be considered, anyone count his handling errors on sun)

6, 7, 8 holds so much talent, lets see them form a unit

9 is covered

we need a ten - or godman to bring his embra form to international level

WE NEED CENTERS WHO DO SOMETHING WITH THE BALL. DeLuca may give us the breaks in the future, but needs time to settle. As for Henderson, Morrison et al, they are solid in D, but never break the line with the ball, no scores = lose game.

Give Thom Evans a chance on the wing. Paterson at Fullback. Others IMO as fill ins untill the lamonts get back, on recnet form walker, danielli, webster et al are not up to it.
