Glasgow North Regional Selection

Post by Stevie » Sun Mar 08, 2009 8:28 pm

Four Dalziel S2 players have been selected for the Glasgow North Squad
Gordon Campbell, Mark Grey, Cameron King, and Chris Mullin.
The squad will have 2 more training sessions before it is reduced down to 22 players after which it will play against Glasgow South.
Well done to the lads selected and to those who took part in the trials.

Good to hear the conveyor belt is still rolling. Congratulations to the lads and well done to all the coaches involved. It's important to get the skills embedded as early as possible to give these lads the opportunity to really develop. Bear in mind that this is early days and many lads not selected this time around still have chances each season to stake their claim.
Good luck.

PS Note nobody from Hamilton despite all the resources including their own NZ DO?
To the Dalziel S2 coaches ............are West really that strong...11 players in the squad!!
Having said that Dalziel were one of the strongest Club representations, along with HillJills, and Hawks.

On the subject of West they probably enjoy the same level of dominance that the u18 team did when they were S2 (although their sucess is probably based on size and strength) but I don`t remember us ever getting 11 in a Glasgow North selection I think the best was 11 for the Lions maybe we need more people pushing for Dalziel.
:D :D
