NLC's S1 team has just been announced following last week's trial.
13 out of the 18 selected are members of the Club's S1 squad, 10 of whom will be starting the 13 a-side game against SLC Schools (no wing forwards) on Wednesday 19th March 2008 at Hamilton Palace Grounds - 12pm kick off

Don't really know why as they play a full size pitch, in P7 they play 10 a side on a half pitch so it has been a big jump for the boys. Does give the backs a bit of room though!!
They move to 15 a side next year which shall be good for us as we have a big squad.

They play 13 a side to encourage moving the ball to develop the scrum half stand off players no flankers less pressure

yeh, seems like a plan - but as roddy says, must be difficult with a load of guys in a squad!
