Dalziel U15's v Tondu Plaudits

Well done to all the players for a great night of rugby. Hope you all enjoyed yourselves with the whole squad getting on the park. A number of people have commented on what a great squad you are and the high level of rugby you are playing. Take a bow. The night took a lot of organising which would have been apparent to everyone there on the night. Thanks to Willie Davidson for the programmes. Thanks to Calum Mackay for setting the mood by piping the national anthems. Thanks to Davy Jamieson for arranging the venue and basically making it happen. Thanks to Les, Willie, Tom and all the staff (family) at the club house for the high level of hospitality. A great idea Robert in presenting our visitors with the 'Dragon'. I do believe they the were gobsmacked. Last but not least, thanks to our guests, Tondu RFC, for considering us as a quality rugby club to link up with on their tour. Here here.

Having had to rush away the following morning to a boys weekend in Madrid (and having only just recovered from it) this is the first chance I have had to record my thanks to everyone who made the night such a great one. I think we showed that the Club is investing in its future through the mini and midi section. Particular thanks go to Calum McKay who piped everyone on to the park and then stripped off and scored a great try.

Our friends from Tondu were really complementary of our club and maybe we can arrange a return fixture next year with our boys going to Wales to support Scotland.

And of course, particular thanks to captain David Connelly and chums for their 21 bum salute to me before I drove off
