Player Profiles - Senior Players Must Read

Post by AndyHill » Wed Jun 10, 2009 5:18 pm

Rite lads for you guys that weren’t at the AGM. Jimmy is planning to create player profiles for next season. What he intends to do is provide each player with a profile sheet with areas that he feels you need to improve on.

The process entails being given a profile sheet with criteria for the position you play. You then must rate yourself to the criteria provided on a scale of 1 to 4 ( 1 being "Performs seldom or inappropriately" and 4 being "Performs always and appropriately"). This must then be returned to Jimmy so that he and the other coaches can sit down and evaluate yourself as a player. This will then be used to provide 1 to 1 feedback to help you develop as a player.

Having spoke to Jimmy today it appears it would be best if Niall could provide Jimmy's e-mail on the site. You must then e-mail Jimmy and ask to receive a profile sheet. You then must complete it and either send it to Jimmy by mail or e-mail. This needs to be done by the start of pre-season training or more likely the 16th of June (when all the coaches are planning to meet up).

This is a real opportunity for all players to receive feedback on their performance and give them a focus for next season to try and secure a 1st fifteen place. So let’s get our fingers out.

Also Jimmy would like to create a contact list sheet with all of the player’s home and mobile numbers and also their e-mails. Jimmy is often sent useful information related to rugby due to the nature of his job and he would like to create a mailing list to pass this information on. Could players e-mail me the information requested and I will pass it onto Jimmy? My e-mail is andrewhill969@hotmail.com

Niall can you put a post up on the website with Jimmy's e-mail because the 1 at the moment does not open up when I click it. Also would it be possible for you to put a downloadable profile sheet on the website for each position?

Andy
