Just heard from Graeme (via Fraser) that the firsts won 19-7 after extra time. Tries from Lee McWhinnie, Decker and Andy Hill, and 2 conversions from Andy.

Good job guys!

plus Hillfoots/Alloa were beaten 8-5 by Grangemouth, so it leaves us and maybe Preston Lodge in the draw!

edit: Teams through to quarter finals of bowl:

Preston Lodge
Linlithgow
Grangemouth
Dalziel
Helensburgh

edit2: and caithness

Well done boys an extra time win Heed is right the training you are doin is starting to pay off waiting on the draw probaly Monday so that we can move forward remeber we still have 3 must win league games to play top 4 finish and place at Murrayfield is still possible but we must all 1st 2nds and dazzlers put the effort in for a stoming finish to the season then we can have a monumental booze up

Well said davie - lets get everyone to training, and put the effort in to make it a great season. If the good efforts in training continue, and the numbers at training increase meaning even more competition for places, it will surely bring out the best in all at the club.

What a day out the club could have if we reach murrayfield, the 15 on the park and the rest of the club supporting, it would be a great day for all. Lets make it happen!

2 more victories required!

Quarter Final was to be drawn at 11:45am today - but nothing is on the SRU site as yet!

A very winable tie, provided we treat it as the big game it is and really stick it to them.

Lets not underestimate anybody left guys hard work has got keep going I will try and get the Cambuslang game played before we play our next bowl game hopefully we can complete our league campaign before then. Then we can put 100% into getting to the finals feet on the floor or as sir furious would say "Squeaky bum time"

The SRU site isn't updated as diligently as ours ;)

Anyway, realistically looking at the draw (and current league positions) it should be 4 home wins in the Quarter Finals. So we would be wanting Preston Lodge at home in the semi finals as an ideal tie.

Incidentally, rearranged 2nd Round ties are being played on the 15th of March.

everyone left in competition has something to offer, so we can't take anything for granted. never mind the next round - we'll have a tough game to get through against Strathendrick or Allan Glens before we even allow our selves the luxury of thinking about the semi final! :|

Dunno if he plays, but i think he coaches the first team.

Anyway, Strathendrick beat Glen's 23-10 yesterday to play us in the quarter finals.

Peter is Allan Glens' youth development officer, its his full time job. He isn't their first team coach as far as i know.

When i spoke to Tam he told me pistol was getting a game for their first team, as he decided just to play there since they employ him to do youth work.

Edited due to stupid comment
