The manager of paddy Whelans in Riga has confirmed that his bar isn't showing the game but his friends bar will show it for us. Kicks off at 9.45pm Riga time.
The guy needs a quick response so organisers (Spazzo and Brycicle- What say yee???)

Looks like you are all over this so i nominate you on behalf of the best man/worst organiser in the world (Brycie) as our official tour guide. Can you gather all the info for the bars etc and local times and stick it on a mail to me buddy and i will get printouts for everyone to hand out when we meet.
Also Meet is 3.45 am at the civic on Friday. If anyone lives miles away we can sort out a bed for you the night before somewhere. Also if you are going to the airport direct let me or Brycie know asap

Right Riga Riders,
I know that my best man has organised an array of exciting activities for us all in riga, most notably watching the football at Jack Daniels - probably the best bar in Riga apparantly.
Whilst this may suit some, I would quite like to do something else whilst in Riga. To this end, I have checked out paintballing for a few hours on Saturday. 35 Euro's a skull including paintball rental, all equipment including camouflage gear, 100 paintballs per person, and bus transfers from the hotel.
Please post a reply letting me know whether you are in or out please. Need to organise by Wednesday to finalise booking and bus arrangements.

Travel Tips:
(1) Don't forget to check in online and print your boarding passes. You will need your passport details to hand when you do this!!
(2) DON'T FORGET YOUR PASSPORT
(3) Currency in Latvia is the Lati, exchange rate is around £1=0.8 lati. I have ordered some from M&S and will use my bank card when I'm out there!! Not all foreign exchanges hold Lati so it may be best to order them this week!! Should be a travelex at Preswick but can't find there number and if everyone was planning to change at the airport they may not hold enough Lati's for everyone!!
(4) Can only take 100ml fluids on board the flight. This may impact your selection of toiletries for those of you with hand luggage only!! You can still add checked luggage to your booking and is £15 each way!!
I think the hotel has been rebranded a Raddison Blu. No mention of a nightclub but there is a spa, so you may want to bring shorts/gym equipment, especially those of us there till Tuesday!!

The American Embassy continues to be concerned about the number of reported instances of crimes perpetrated against foreign clientele at local bars, clubs and lounges in Riga. There have been a number of additional reports recently of foreign tourists being charged extortionate prices for drinks in bars. Some have then been assaulted, threatened or forced to withdraw money from an ATM to pay for the bill. The Regional Security Officer at the American Embassy has placed the following establishments off-limits for American staff, their family members and TDY official visitors:
Angels - Elizabetes 22, Riga
Babylon (formerly Roxy Klub) – Kalku 24, Riga; located near the entrance to Old Town on Kalku street.
Livu Krodzins Bar/Pizzeria (formerly Lord’s Pub, Groks Pub, and Royal Pub) - Kalku 22, Riga; located next door to Babylon (formerly Roxy Klub).
Red Lion Pub (formerly Saxon) – Laipu 7, Riga; located near Livu Square in a small street to the right of restaurant Steiku Haoss.
Infinity Bars (formerly Bar Fly) – Vagnera 8, Riga; located near Livu Square in a small street to the right of Babylon (formerly Roxy), Royal (formerly Lord’s and Groks) and Enigma (formerly Puzzle and Pink Panther).
Mary – Audeju 13, Riga; located on the east side of Galleria Center Mall in Old Town.

The local time in Riga is 2 hours ahead of the UK. If our plan is to find a suitable bar that will show the game then KO should be 9.45pm Riga time!!
Should therefore be looking to leave the Paintballing place around 8pm latest to give us a chance to get back and changed for the evenings festivities.....kilts on!!
