My Next Fight, May 23rd Meadowbank

Post by Lovey » Tue Apr 14, 2009 1:04 pm

Some of you may remember me, I used to play for Dalziel. I was an all rounder known for my pace and kicking ability, however rugby became too much for me so I retired to the more gentle sport of Mixed Martial Arts (or Cage Fighting to the unfamiliar, quite the misleading monicker as this contest will be held in a ring).

Some of you fine chaps have in the past indicated a desire to come watch myself compete in a bout of scheduled fisticuffs (probably as a novelty as I was never the type to indulge in such things on the rugby field).

For those that are interested I will be fighting on the 23rd of May at the Meadowbank Arena (Edinburgh). If you care to hear more of this pugilistic endeavour of sorts please visit the website at www.absolute-combat.co.uk

Tally ho and good luck for the rest of the season.

The Punisher is Back Baby!

You should get some tips from a real sport mate - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/7997013.stm

Allan Love (Dinky Ninja Fight Team, Scotland) 2-0
Vs.
Mark O’Toole (EFR Fight Team, Ireland) 7-9

Scottish middleweight Allan Love is looking to establish himself as the number one contender to Mair’s unofficial crown as Scotland’s best. Love who has defeated everyone in convincing fashion so far in his amateur and professional career will be in for his biggest test to date. He will face the technical Mark O’Toole who hopes to be the road block in Love’s progress.

S’up players?

I’m planning to hit up the Presidents Game on Saturday so if any of you crazy fools are looking for tickets for this fight show I can hook you up then.

It’s the best fight card in Scottish MMA so far featuring pretty much all of Scotland’s top fighters (notable exception being James Doolan) so if you want to pop along to see some fights this is the one you want to be at.

Peace

For anyone that cares my opponent pulled out injured. Luckily we've got someone willing to step up in Ken Dugay (5-3 Pro) at a catchweight of 90kg. It's weird having to eat up to weight but something that's not too horrible.

Make sme regret having nothing but spinach and chicken and bags of carrots for the last 5 days though.

I'll be in the Well on Thursday, if anyone wants tickets holler at me.

I'll be lucky if I fight again in Scotland this year so if you want to see me fight this is the time ;)
