Given that as a club & on personal levels we are up for some awards.

Are the club going to be represented at this bash??

It's tables of 10 but we can have more - Tickets are £50 each. The Memorial Trust Sportsmans Dinner is also on that evening, costs less and will probably be a better night. The money there goes to helping us play rugby at DL Park, whilst the SRU Dinner money goes to the SRU.

Its not often your club, team mates & coach are up for national awards though.

Ps.... Should we not have The Memorial Trust Sportsmans Dinner advertised on the site?? This is the first i've heard of it.

War Memorial Trust Dinner

Post by scottiedug » Mon May 10, 2010 11:07 pm

Gentlemen,
I am more than slightly concerned to read Stevie Findlay AKA Head did not know about the above Dinner. This suggests to me that the importance of this event has not been registered with all Club Members including Mini and Midi, which frankly ,is a DISASTER.!!! This will be a great night with good food ,drink and a vast array of excellent raffle and auction items including 2 tickets for Wimbledon and a day offshore in a Luxury Yacht at the Monaco Grand Prix!!!!!The Rugby Club must support this initiative to the utmost and as Spike El Presidente has pointed out, the money goes to our own facilities and not to the SRU.Quite properly, we will be represented at The Awards although it is a great shame that this will detract from numbers at the WMT Dinner. Please refer to your Youth Festival Programme for full details. Please also phone me if you wish further info on 07717810323.I will be very happy to take names and cash( £35) at the Fun Day on Saturday if the Rugby Club Trust Reps are not in a position to do so. Scottie D

I think all of the above are true but I understand they are using outside caterers and bar, so the dinner is going ahead.
