Sportsmans Dinner 2009

Post by Dalziel PostBot » Mon Nov 09, 2009 10:35 am

The Sportsmans Dinner this year was a great success with, possibly, one of the most entertaining dinners we have ever had.

Our thanks go to John Beattie for an excellent training session in a very confined space and no grass in sight, Jim Lavery for one of the funniest speeches ever heard at the Colville Park Club and host Bill Samuel for both his organisation and exceptional compering of the evening, also to Gordon Turnbull for his financial management of the evening, although the benefits of his task were fairly obvious.

Finally, we would like to thank the guests for their contribution to another fantastic night and we hope they enjoyed themselves and look forward to welcoming them back next year.

I would also like to thank John Beattie for taking one look at Mr J Mathieson and saying "no f$%^ing way are you a back" when selecting persons for his stage routine.
