In recent seasons Edinburgh University have been a difficult team for Dalziel to play against but after the previous weeks victory over second place Dumfries Dalziel travelled to Edinburgh hoping to consolidate their promotion chances with a good away victory. Before the match the students were in ninth position four below Dalziel so a victory was possible. However from the start it was clear that the young students had a different agenda and losing was not part of it.
