Why have we not picked 20 players in the squad, when we are allowed to, and can therefiore give another player some game time?

were only allowed to name 18 in a squad. It's only 20 man squads in premier 1.

Also, IRB laws state that if you have 18 players then 4 need to be front row experienced. if you have 19 and more players then you need 5 Front row experienced players.

so its only additional Fat boys that would sit on the bench, and no matter how old / young they are they are still fit enough to last the whole game, barring injury.

I knew that was the case, but i don't know why it didn't twig at the Annan cup game, we had Chubby, John Harris, Fraser and Grunter on the bench. There's only one front row sub in that number. Who else in the squad has front row experience outside of George, Heed and Yogi (starting front row that day)

squad can be found here: http://www.dalzielrugby.com/?mod=fixtur ... =25&team=1

Grunter played most of a season in the front row about 5 years ago and i played there a few times as a blood replacement or when there was a sin-binning back in the Colin Thompson era :P

But you weren't to know that - you were but a nipper

That said, i dunno if our names are ticked as having front row experience.
