This previously postponed league game was only arranged on the Wednesday prior to the match and this accounted for Dalziel’s poorest support at an away match for a good number of years. ha ha

i don't think the report's author made the match either

Heed's try was from a pick and go close to the line after we broke down the blindside, but who cares a great DL victory and confidence boost to build for the rest of the year.

Support at Greenock

Post by spike » Tue Feb 12, 2008 12:03 pm

I think the lack of support was due to a number of issues. All the boring old farts were getting twatted at a boring old farts weekend at Turnberry, we had three teams out, plus an Under 18's and that didn't leave a lot of surplus for support.

Despite this, it was a great result and hopefully we can build from this and get further up the table. Looks like the decision to play the game was vindicated.

Fortune favours the brave. Well done Lee and the boys.

The biggest losers were the U-18s I feel. If their game had been played on the 1sts pitch I think more people would've moved out and watched them as the Scotland game progressed!

yeh!! if we got the 1st pitch then it wouldve helped our game aswell cis the pitch we were playing on is very small cause the guy doesnt use the whole area and we wouldve had more joy with the backs!
