A LANARKSHIRE rugby stalwart died suddenly on Monday aged 58.
Alan Calder, a quantity surveyor with Clark Contracts, Paisley, suffered a heart attack.
A former president of Dalziel Rugby Club, Mr Calder was well-known and popular in both county and Scottish rugby circles.
He was also a member of Hamilton Golf Club and Hamilton Caley Choir.
This week friends and colleagues paid tribute to him.
