Pl Match Report;

PL Dumped from Shield by Classy Dalziel
21st Nov 09 - Preston Lodge RFC 0 vs 121 Dalziel RFC
Report by Johnston Craig

A sorry day lay in store for PL when old friends and rivals, Dalziel visited The Pennypit to play a Preliminary Round tie in the Scottish Hydro Shield

The visitors showed some sparkling rugby to run in 19 tries to rack up an impressive total of 121 unanswered points against a severely under strength Preston Lodge side and show just how much of a gap has grown between the teams since they met in the Bowl final at Murrayfield 18 months ago.

There was little to take from the game for PL but Burns, Blair, Howie, Hill, and Ray were notable in their endeavours to try to stem the deluge of tries that rained down on their beleaguered side.

Preston Lodge team:

B Henderson, C Bissett, D Gillan, J Anderson, J Ray, A Hill, J Burns,

C Howie, S Thomson, D Wardell, A Blair, M Morgan, K Quinn, R Todd, G Stewart.

Replacements:

A Adamson, S Morgan, L Tait (All Used)

LOOKS LIKE GILLON WAS PLAYING FOR THEM - NO WONDER HE DIDN'T SCORE!
