1st Team Bonus and U18s Dump Ayr Out of the Cup

Dalziel 1st XV travelled to Edinburgh University and came away with a bonus point win by 29 points to 5. A place where we have struggled in the past to win, Dalziel dominated the first half but came under pressure in the second. With other results going to form Dalziel remain 6 points clear at the top of National 1 and have now defeated all other teams in our league with a 100% record at the half way point.

The Under 18s went away to Ayr and came back with a well deserved National Cup win beating Ayr U18 by 17 points to 14. Dalziel dominated the first half and were 17 points to nil up at half time, with tries from Lewis MacSween and Neil Gracie, both converted by Ryan Watters, who also added a penalty. Ayr came back in the second half but Dalziel held their form and now go into the next round with a home game against Dumfries and a lot of confidence.

Next week the 1st XV are away at Berwick with an early KO due to the Scotland Autumn International against Fiji.
