The sun was shining and conditions were perfect for playing rugby. Over fifty Dalziel supporters travelled to Whitecraigs knowing that this would be their hardest game of the season so far, and so it proved.
Dalziel were slow to start and after ten minutes found themselves 6 points behind after some continuous Whitecraigs pressure. This was followed by an injury to Andy Hill who had to leave the field, not the start that the Dalziel boys had wanted. There did however follow a period of possession when Dalziel, on the 20-minute mark, saw the ever present Gillon Duguid cut through the Whitecraigs defence pass to brother Fraser who then released Blake Whitehead to score near the posts. Robert Simpson converted to send Dalziel into a 7 to 6 lead.

yeh, they'll def be there or there abouts come the end of the season.
but a win is a win is a win - and that's what Dalziel took away from home on Saturday in what sounds like a titanic tussle!
i dunno that putting stuff as strong as that on yer site (whitecraigs) is good for a team, what's wrong with a little bit of humility and discretion from a losing team.
