match fees are £5 and £3 for students. I have only been taking £3 during the friendly games due to everybody only playing a half.

Yes. The adult pays non-playing and kids are half price.

not really that much of an incentive is it though? 2 kids at £40 = £80, one social member + 2 kids at half price = £90

surely having half price social would be better? (and the club gets more money)

We still have to pay insurance on all members of the Club and senior insurance is more expensive. Many of the non-playing members are coaches and the insurance is necessary, as I understand it. Someone may correct me though.

Bottom line is we really have a good deal when compared to subsrciption and weekly fees paid where Karate and Football clubs are concerned!
Ask someone doing karate and find out how much kit costs to buy and launder (at home) as well as session fees never mind how much it costs to actually progress through the belts to senior level!! And bear in mind they're only paying for the hire of a community hall or gym.
Rant over!

I'm not complaining, I was just saying that if we did half price social membership for someone with two children in junior rugby, then the club end up with £105 instead of £90 as with the current scheme!
