so is it actually a new tie design or is it more stock of the current design???

It is the same design although the badge now has the blue colour on the shield and the blue stripe is a little bit more "bright". Apart from that it's the same tie.

Cheers for clearing that up, I wouldn't have wanted my tie to look dated, it's bad enough with this battered auld face
